The Mentoring Club's mentees gather for a hike through Garin Regional Park Join the Mentees Circle community for a beautiful hike through nature and an opportunity to get to know your fellow mentors even further. We are excited to have our very first in-person social event, however with the pandemic still going on, we are limiting this hike to no more than TEN (10) Mentees. We plan to meet in the parking lot of the GARIN REGIONAL PARK in Hayward and embark on The Dry Creek Trail Loop, a 1.35-hour loop hike. The loop is about 3.3 miles with light to moderate hills depending on one’s physical fitness. We are allotting 1.75-2 hours for our hiking event, roughly 10-15 minutes waiting time at the entrance, and another 10-15 minutes pacing allowance as pairs of mentees socialize. On Garin Ave head straight towards the roundabout where you can find the parking area. COVID-19 Hiking Protocols During the hike, we encourage everyone to exercise the following personal protective protocol to ensure that we limit our exposure and risk to the virus: Wear a mask and observe social distancing before, during, and after the hike.We will walk and talk in pairsIf you are not feeling well or suspect that you have been exposed to someone who may be infected, please stay at home, quarantine yourself, and rest.
