Interstate Batteries is hiring for a warehouse associate/delivery driver. All associates at Interstate perform multiple roles on a daily basis. This position requires you to wear "multiple hats" throughout the day. You will pull orders, sort through old batteries, clean batteries, charge batteries, interact with customers in person and on the phone, deliver batteries, clean vehicles, clean our restroom, retail room and warehouse on a daily basis. We are looking for someone ready and willing to hustle and work as we are generally very busy. Below is a further description of this open position. Job Components: Warehouse Duties Load and unload batteries Restock batteries Charge, test, clean, date, label and wrap batteries Pull battery orders for delivery drivers(by hand and with forklift) Break down & palletize batteries Install batteries for retail customers Keep warehouse and other work areas in orderly fashion ******General cleaning (restrooms and retail room)****** Any other task not mentioned but needed by Interstate Batteries Delivery Driving Duties Load and unload batteries Proper handling of new, used, and junk batteries Run hotshot deliveries throughout territory in a safe and timely manner Create invoices for customers using handheld computer and/or hand ticket Any other task not mentioned but needed by Interstate Batteries Job Requirements Must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a repetitive basis Must have a clean driving record Must take a physical and drug test Must perform a background check Must be capable of creating invoices for customers Must be able to make independent judgments when making decisions Must be able to pass a forklift certification test, we will arrange the class Past Experience Battery, General Automotive, General Handyman, and Sales is a PLUS! Please state on application if you have any experience in these fields Must have a clean DMV record, minimum 3 years driving experience Hours 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday. Must be available to work extra hours. We work 4) 10 Hours days, Monday - Thursday, off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
