Desert Elite Electric is looking for a well-rounded journeyman electrician with substantial commercial experience as well as some residential. Our main focus is to find someone who will run and aid our commercial crews in order to finish jobs as quickly and smoothly as possible. This job description outlines general duties, requirements, and qualifications for an applicant. Employees may be required to perform duties not listed in this general job description. Additionally, this general job description may not include all the skills or qualifications necessary to accomplish the work required by this position. Duties and Responsibilities Must have knowledge of lighting control systems and Title 24 lighting Work independently or lead a team Identifying and separating wires by color Installing and securing cables, raceways, and other conductors Carrying material and tools from location to location (possibly up to 75bs) Assisting in moving heavy electrical equipment Electrical terminations Hand bending pipe and other forms of conduit Working in electrical panels managing wires Pulling electrical wire including Romex, MC Cable, underground feeder wire, etc. Cleaning up the individual work area as well as job site Working on extension ladders, scaffolds, and scissor lifts (possibly up to 100 feet) Working with power tools and hand tools possibly above head Communicating to office and owner about status of jobs Qualifications and Skills commercial/residential electrical experience, mostly commercial Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms to operate equipment. Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs. Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints Must have comprehensive knowledge of pipe bending, Ohm's law, 3 and 4 way switching, wire pulling, and electrical code comprehension Must possess problem-solving skills and be able to work independently with little or no supervision as well as lead a crew with little to no supervision. Must have management skill necessary to lead and run a crew MUST have reliable vehicle for transportation MUST have own set of basic tools in order to work properly Job Type: Full-time Requirements: must have valid CA Driver's license must have 5+ years of electrical experience must have a high school diploma or equivalent Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: To keep our electricians safe, we provide PPE for all employees and maintain social distancing while working on both commercial and residential properties.
