Western Fire Protection Inc is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm / Fire Sprinkler service technician. Fire System Technicians are responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, installation and service on all types of fire systems. Essential Duties and responsibilities • Perform all types of fire sprinkler and Fire alarm inspections per NFPA-72 and NFPA-25 • Inspecting and testing of fire alarm systems per NFPA-72 • Programing and repairs of Fire Alarm Control Panels. • Repair or replace pull stations, bells, mini-horns, flow switches, tamper switches troubleshooting, etc., when needed. • Assist with Fire pump pump tests, hydrant flow tests, standpipe inspections, hose rack, Pre-action, water storage tank, and special hazard inspections. • Perform field surveys of jobs for quotes and/or repairs when needed. • Be available for Emergency call response/assistance and/or coordination if necessary. • Must maintain current/valid Driver’s License and will be subject to the Company’s EPN program for insurance purposes. • Individual must have proper work boots, hand tools, hard hats and safety glasses. Qualifications and Education Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the inspection and periodic testing of water-based fire protection systems. • Water-based systems installation, service maintenance, and/or acceptance testing. • Fire alarm systems inspection. • Must have a functional knowledge of all aspects of NFPA 25 and NFPA 72 and other applicable codes and regulations. Able to identify deficiencies based on NFPA 72 & NFPA 25 code Reference. • Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office • Experience with the following manufacturers: EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard and Gamewell FCI preferred. • Attends all safety related meetings, classes, and holds applicable licenses for the operation of certain equipment. • Must be competent and aware of all safety precautions and hazards for specific jobs as well as for general issues/concerns.
