Assistant maintenance position / farmboy Hello, and thank you for your interest in working with me. My name is Dave, I am retired and I run a business out of my home breeding birds. At any given time I have 40-150 birds depending on the time of the year. I love my birds and take excellent care of them, but properly caring for this many animals is a lot of work. I am looking to hire two male part time employees, and one male full time employee. No experience needed, will train. The ideal candidate is someone who worked in the field as a waiter, busboy, dishwasher, orderly, car washer, farmhand, store stocker, and helper. Someone who loves birds and enjoys feeding, watering, and handling them, but is also not afraid to do the tedious tasks like regularly cleaning cages. They should not be bothered of handling birds, or their poo. This person should be kind, patient, teachable and willing to take instruction and constructive criticism during the training process. They should also be self-motivated to carry out the routine tasks without needing to be micromanaged. This job is not overly physically demanding, but it does require some strength to occasionally lift metal cages to high shelves, and lifting 50 pounds of bird feed. This is not a temporary position and I am looking for someone who will stick around at least a year or more. A room is also available if a full-time employee would like to live and work in the same place. There will be wage increases after trial period of 90 business work days.
