By Chris Jennewein, Times of San Diego March 14, 2021 The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 384 new cases of coronavirus Saturday and 10 more deaths from the pandemic disease. Out of 11,433 test results received in the past day, 3.4% were positive, and the 14-day rolling average of positive tests held steady at 2.9%. Hospitalizations for COVID-19 increased by one to 296 with 94 patients requiring intensive care. In mid January at the peak of the pandemic, there were nearly 1,800 hospitalized and over 400 in the ICU. As of Saturday, 695,721 residents, or 25.9% of the population, have received at least one vaccine dose, and 411,596, or 15.3%, are fully vaccinated. The county currently has 52,958 doses available to administer is prioritizing second shots for those who need them. During the year-long pandemic there have been 265,273 confirmed cases in San Diego County and 3,444 deaths.
