No trapping experience necessary. We provide several weeks of training, uniform, vehicle, cell phone and lots of support. The only experience we are looking for is somebody who has a great attitude, experience working hard, interfacing with customers, taking responsibility for the quality of their work, and being comfortable and humble enough to ask questions. Summary The role of the Wildlife Trapping Field Technician is a non-exempt position, reporting to the Field Technician Supervisor. Generally, the Field Technician is responsible to perform pest control functions as described below. The Field Technician is responsible to follow the policies and procedures of the Company and as directed by their Supervisor in performing their duties. Essential Tasks Provide timely pest detection, elimination and prevention tasks. Make a thorough inspection of each property and set the necessary traps to eliminate the pest problem. Learn and understand Smith’s pest control services Enhance service and sales of pest prevention and elimination tasks. Establish effective working relationships with customers and partner with them on the best ways to identify and solve pest problems. Leave reports with handwritten notes for the customer. Call the office with any questions, report any abnormalities or unusual circumstances found on any job site. Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable DMV record. Ability to use a smart phone and scheduling app to prioritize your day. Must have a command of basic English to communicate with customers. Customer focus Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a physically-demanding job while working outside. Previous customer service experience Willing and able to present additional services that would benefit existing customers Previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred Physical Demands: Must have the ability Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 70 pounds. Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions. Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear. Must be capable of wearing a respirator Possess or able to obtain pest certification pursuant to country or state/local law Must be able to pass a drug screening test
