Established North Bay Painting Company seeks Estimator /Project manager
ESTIMATOR
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates.
Analyze plans and specs.
Perform quantity take-offs.
Review Request for Proposal packages.
Follow up on bids,
Complete budgeting for projects.
Monitor change orders. *
Ensure site personnel are provided with needed documentation.
Collect and organize bid information for future reference and maintain a cost estimate database.
Develop new customers.
PROJECT MANAGER
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee projects from beginning to end.
Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed.
Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment.
Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
Prepare reports regarding job status.
Resolve any problems that may arise.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Negotiate with vendors
Ensure all deadlines are met..
Monitor progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.
Experience:
• Painting/ coating industry : 5 years (Preferred)
• Estimating: 2 years (Preferred)
Qualifications: 2 years plus of experience in Painting Estimating/Project Management. * College degree in Cost Estimating or Construction Management, a plus. * Knowledge of Residential and commercial painting principles and application processes. * Proficient in Microsoft word.. * Ability to read plans and specs. * Strong math and analytical skills. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Proficiency with estimating software, such as Plan Swift, a plus. * Bi-lingual, a plus. *
