The nature of humans is to unite. We live in tribes, we have social groups, we take pride in our teams and our country, we gather at festivals and concerts. So why is it o difficult for some people to unite as Americans?
Some people just seem to enjoy conflict. They enjoy arguing. They get off on bitterness and resentment. I suspect that these people do not have enough going on in their life to appreciate. So they turn to bitterness an conflict to fill the void in their life. Many people choose to be unhappy. It is almost as if they feel like they will lose their identity if they become happy pleasant people.
To each their own. People have the right to live in anger if they choose. I am just grateful that I am not one of these people. I m grateful that my own identity in life is not built around anger.
Happiness is like floating down a river.
Bitterness is like trying to swim agains the current of the river. Every moment is a battle. This must be exhausting...
This nation is uniting regardless of the resistance of a few individuals. Unity is in our nature. Unity is the DNA of our nation. With no current catalyst to divide us, we are naturally becoming one cohesive group again. Let’s celebrate that....
