Second do all, your math is way off. You may want to try again on that.
Third - when crude oil dropped to record low prices, the primer per gallon of gas barely dipped. Maybe 30 cents per gallon.
Fourth point to make, you may be right about the national cost per gallon for gas. But here in the Bay Area a gallon of gas is $4.00. The refinery’s are right here in our back yard. Gas should be cheaper here because there is less trucking cost.
Why on earth would anyone defend oil companies? That like defending a rapists actions.
