Lean how to use flash lighting to create, manipulate, and enhance light in any situation! This will be a hands-on workshop with shooting. Lean how to use flash/stobe lighting to create, manipulate, and enhance light in any situation - whether you're trying to avoid harsh shadows from the sun, or dramatically light up your subject in low light. If you're a natural light photographer, or someone who has minimal experience with on-camera flash, this is the workshop to get you to the next level and become comfortable using lighting gear in all situations! During this hands-on workshop, we will be going over; - The basics of flash photography including terminology and different types of lights (speedlights, strobes, etc). - Understanding how lighting works (Hard/Soft lighting, fill lighting, etc) - TTL vs Manual Lighting, HSS - On and Off-Camera Lighting - Light Modifiers - Adding more lights to your scene - Getting Creative with lighting The first part of this workshop will consist of flash photography education, live demonstration with a model, and some hands on shooting towards sunset and blue hour. Take what you learned from this, go home, process the information, and come back the next day and get some hands-on shooting time using Westcott's lineup of speedlights and strobes as we go on a photowalk through downtown Pittsburgh.
