The Long Island Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization has welcomed two new members: Gerald Abatemarco and Peter Favaro. The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is a dynamic, global network of more than 13,000 business owners in 40 countries. The Long Island Chapter the Entrepreneurs Organization has over 30 members representing over 35 Long Island businesses with more than $70 million in revenue and employing nearly 4,000 people. Our members are all founders, CEOs or primary shareholders of businesses doing at least $1 million in revenue. Our businesses range from manufacturing to education to healthcare to finance to retail. Welcome Gerald Abatemarco Gerald Abatemarco is the third generation family leader of A&A Brake located in Brooklyn. Gerald’s grandfather started the business in 1944 and Gerald joined in his early 20s, working his way up. In true entrepreneurial fashion, he started the Transit line of the busines in 2015. Gerald is married with two young children, a girl and a boy, who keep him running. Welcome Peter Favaro Peter Favaro is a true Renaissance man working in the fields of psychology, education, computers, and robotics. He has started multiple businesses and authored dozens of books. Peter began work as a child and adolescent psychologist after graduating from Hofstra University in 1984. And has performed over 6,000 forensic evaluations for the courts in his 30 year career. Those experiences led Peter to open SmartParenting, The Family Center in Port Washington where he concentrates exclusively on court referred cases which include forensic evaluations, parenting education, supervised and therapeutic visitation, reunification, and parenting coordination. He also established the Center for Improved Human Relationships and The Center for Improved Family Relationships with his partner Jenna Silverman, Esq. to conduct research on estranged relationships as well as create programs designed to teach parents how to manage their divorce conflicts without litigation. Wearing his hat as a technologist and educator, Peter has edited several educational and consumer publications including Family Computing, a Scholastic Publication. He has designed and programmed innovative tiles for Activision (Alter Ego). He has lectured on artificial intelligence and expert systems at Harvard Medical college, and he was a principal investor and tech consultant to Odyssey Marine Exploration, a deep sea robotics archeology and recovery group. Peter is the author of more than a dozen books including books on conflict resolution, parenting during and after divorce, anger management. He has spoken at the United Nations and serves on the board of The Foundation for Gender Equality. Peter’s current projects include a book/seminar series called “Staying in Love: Secret Recipes for Lasting Love,” and a top secret AI and social media based game.
