The Crab Trap Destin & Henderson Beach State Park will host a beach cleanup on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 In collaboration with Okaloosa County, the Okaloosa County Tourist Development Department, The Crab Trap, Destin, & Henderson Beach State Park will host its annual Earth Day Beach Clean-Up on Saturday, April 24, 2021. ** NOTE THERE ARE 2 BEACH CLEAN UP LOCATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS REGISTRATION ** 1) The Crab Trap Destin: 3500 Scenic Highway 98 East, Destin, FL 32541 2) Henderson Beach State Park: 17000 Emerald Coast Parkway, Destin, FL 32541 DUE TO SPACE RESTRICTIONS, THERE ARE ONLY 75 REGISTRATION SLOTS AVAILABLE AT EACH LOCATION. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE BEACH CLEAN UP LOCATION YOU WILL ATTEND. CHECK-IN WILL BEGIN AT 8 A.M. AT BOTH LOCATIONS.The family-friendly event starts at 8 a.m. Free event t-shirts will be provided. A limited quantity is available, priority given to those who have pre-registered through Eventbrite. Any remaining shirts will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis on event day. Prizes will be awarded for the most cigarette butts collected! B.Y.O.B: Bring Your Own Bucket! Help us conserve and reduce additional waste by bringing your own cleanup equipment:• Bucket or mesh bag for debris • Reusable hand gloves or garden gloves (or trash pickers!) • Reusable water bottle Don't forget to protect yourself with sunscreen and sunglasses! Water dispenser and hand sanitizers will be available. Following the beach cleanup:The Crab Trap, Destin will be providing a complimentary pancake breakfast between 9:00am to 10:00am for both locations. Breakfast is limited to the first 75 clean-up volunteers from each location (150 combined breakfasts). Breakfast tickets will be given to those who have pre-registered through Eventbrite. Breakfast is sponsored by: S.E.A., a Saltwater Restaurant initiative that helps support programs that protect and preserve our beaches.
