Mothers are sometimes left not knowing who to turn to during their traumatic experience, this event provides support and resources for trauma stricken families and an opportunity to network with others that can relate to their circumstances. Some people may never fully understand the painful reality of this kind of victimization. Mothers of homicide victims' experiences are very difficult, emotional, and sometimes so traumatic that one can have issues with caring for themselves. It is important for them to know that they are not alone.
