Description

Balancing and focusing the energy of the Full Moon with Yin Yoga The Moon Cycles offer a powerful time to connect, re-center, and bring forth intentions, and we all know the Full Moon has the most effect! The New Moon brings more physical energy and around the time of Full Moon, energy can be fizzled, burnt out, undirected. We use breathing exercises, guided meditation, Yin Yoga, & Full Moon Ritual to release old energies & patterns that block us from moving forward, that hold us where we are. Yin Yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts. The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely. A Libra moon in Aries season lends a sort of orderliness to what can otherwise be a time of impatience and impulsive behavior. The Libra moon calls us to stop, collect ourselves, and focus on ways to invite more calming, harmonious energy into our hearts & sacred spaces. Libra brings forth abilities to balance, harmonize, beautify.
