Learn the basics of gardening with native plants at the Douglas County Extension demonstration garden. Join John Murgel, Horticulture Agent for Douglas County CSU Extension to learn the basics of gardening with native plants. Workshop attendees will view and identify native plants in a garden setting, conduct soil texture analysis, and discuss gardening best practices for Colorado's dryland flora. No gardening experience required! Course is outdoors at the demonstration garden outside the Extension office. Please wear appropriate shoes, sun covering or sunscreen and bring water. All class materials will be provided. For the safety of all participants, all students and trainers will follow Tri-County Health guidelines at all times during the class including, but not limited to, wearing masks and adhering to appropriate social distancing.
