Residential Foreperson for Home Re-Modeling (Part-time position). Required: DC Home Re-modeling is seeking a residential foreperson to join our team and manage our current onsite projects. We specialize in home additions, bathrooms, kitchens, and general home re-modeling, using modern and classic designs for clients’ homes. Based in the heart of Alexandria, we remodel various projects covering DC, Maryland, and the Virginia area. Job description: The daily tasks of our Forepersons cover the following, • Onsite quality assurance, scheduling, and site management. • Must have effective communication, with both management, and homeowners. • A good knowledge of standards, building codes, safety, and storage. • The ability to manage a team of sub-contractors. • The ability to provide progress reports and communicate with senior management. What we are looking for: • A progressive-minded person, seeking opportunities to expand within our growing company. • 5-10 years residential experience in the DMV area. • Good communication skills (Spanish speaking a bonus). • Able to read and understand blueprints, ordering materials, and monitoring current budgets. • Computer literate, good with spreadsheets, Microsoft packages (general). • Willing to travel and visit job sites (remuneration awarded accordingly for the use of vehicle, phone etc). Typical work hours: Generally, 8am-1pm, Monday-Friday Current pay based on experience: $25 to $35 per hr. There is room for expansion should the position suit and applicants upon working a stable period, could be offered a full time position.
