Are you a good singer/songwriter and a decent instrumentalist? Or a killer bassist who sings great harmony? I am a strong instrumentalist (guitar first, but with many other very useful skills), a decent lead singer, and a solid harmony singer. I write well, but I am not prolific, though I have a tasty, wide-ranging cover repertoire. I have a decent recording room. I have done quite few solo gigs around Austin, including some good ones, sometimes with a partner, but always singing the songs, booking the gig, and playing under my name. I am looking for (in no particular order): A Partnership: With a strong singer/songwriter and decent instrumentalist who needs a strong instrumental partner and decent singer for a collaboration in which they are likely the predominant singer, and I the predominant instrumentalist, but in which we back each other up, share the duties, it feels like a 50/50 duo. OR A Back-up Guy: A great bassist who sings great harmony, backs me up and makes me seem brilliant. I will gladly pay you what you are worth. Won't that be refreshing? OR A Sideman Gig For Me: Where you be da boss and I cheerfully do whatever you want, and get paid at least what you pay your yard guy.
