Yes you can skip the tip! You leave the risk of not getting paid to the Employee, very unethical! Why an employer thinks that I have to subsidize his business with letting my Kids work him? Keeping them out of school wasting their time to help a probably rich business man or women and not getting paid the works worth? And than I have to make up for my Kids shortcoming that's nuts. Entry-level job is something Employers like because it makes it easier to exploit. Work must be paid decent! If tips are eliminated People will not change habits because prices are everywhere higher, or not, because no tips to pay it's maybe the same? The other thing with tips is that it is untaxed income that's not correct either. I really don't care how Employers calculate, the thing is if they want to get their business running thy need Employees, or do it them self. Unions if not corrupt and that's important help the Employee to get a fair pay rate. Unions are good and necessary. 35 Hours per week, overtime occasional ok. No Employer has more Employees than he needs to get the Job done forget the narrative that the will fire people if they need to get the work done. Dear Employees just don't work constant over time. Here is the other thing 35hours a week working time 30 days doubled paid vacation and paid sick time, in Europa since ages the normal.
