Lumber Yard Warehouse/Driver Position Position Summary – Maintain helpful customer service, safely and correctly operate machinery, deliver materials in a timely manner. Major Responsibilities • Ensure each customer receives outstanding service • Operate machinery while following all safety procedures and driving laws • Responsible for bringing hardware and accessories with order and verifying with yard supervisor that delivery package is complete • Assist in loading material on truck • Take deliveries to job-site and properly drop or hand unload materials to customer’s specifications • Take returns from job-site and report them to supervisor • Report shortages and claims on delivered material to supervisor • Perform tasks as assigned from time to time by store management • Put away product in warehouse Minor Requirements • Education/Training: High School degree • Experience in a retail environment a plus • A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction • Skills/Knowledge: Heavy machinery or forklift operating experience encouraged • Ability to communicate with associates and customers • Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and holidays to meet the needs of the business • Valid/current OR Driver’s license Physical Requirements • Ability to stand or sit in a vehicle for an extended period of time • Move and handle lumber, merchandise, and hardware throughout the yard and store, which entails lifting and performing of all functions as set forth • Able to lift minimum of 50lbs • Able to maintain in a fast paced work environment
