From the Florida Strawberry Festival: March 12, 2021 The Florida Strawberry Festival announced today the winner of its Strawberry Mashed Potato Pie Eating Contest that took place today in the Stingray Chevrolet Entertainment Tent. In his second consecutive win, Jeff Perkins, from Florida, won the event where each contestant eats a pie plate of garlic mashed potatoes adorned with fresh strawberries. The contestant who eats everything on the plate most quickly is declared the winner. The Strawberry Mashed Potato Pie Eating Contest is sponsored by Pickle Barrel Sirloin Tips.
