new scam going around Craigslist; the scammer will list a very enticing item, in this case a like new washer and dryer for $200. when you inquire, they will insist you send them a "verification code" to ensure you aren't a bot, it will even come from a real Google verified message. in reality, the scammer is attempting to use your phone number to create a new Google voice account that they will then use to further abuse and scam others while leading back to you. don't EVER share a code from or with ANYBODY. they are using a local number with a (518) area code the last 4 digits are 6257, please FLAG any post you see that meets these criteria.
