Basalite Concrete Products in Carson City, NV is now hiring for General Labor positions. Position Type: Full-Time, may work Overtime and weekends Position Summary: This position supports the block and tiger plants in all areas of production. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. -Operates Splitting equipment and verifies that the machines are running properly and safely. -Operates Cubing and packaging machines and verifies that equipment is running properly and safely. -Checks product quality and discards sub-standard product. -All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives -Regular attendance is required. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. -High school diploma or equivalent. -On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties -Production line experience preferred. -Forklift operational experience is beneficial. -Ability to operate splitter, cuber and any other equipment required to perform duties. -Requires basic reading and writing skills. -Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written. -Basic mathematics and counting is required. -Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. -Ability to follow oral and written instructions. -Ability to act professionally and remain calm in high stress situations. -Operation of mobile electronic equipment may be required. -Regular attendance is required.
