We currently have a Fine Gardening Assistant position available in Georgetown, MA. POSITION SUMMARY The fine gardening assistant follows standard accepted practices to maintain trees, shrubs, perennials, annual plants and vines to remain healthy and aesthetically appropriate for their location, while following the intent of the property's landscape design. The garden crew member will assist in maintaining residential gardens providing a high level of aesthetic value for the client. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Weeding, raking, edging Pruning shrubs and trees; dead-heading annuals and perennials Maintain a clean worksite Take direction from the Foreman Work with the Foreman to accomplish daily goals unique to each site Responsible for the proper utilization and care of company equipment Follow company policies, procedures and work standards Loading and unloading work vehicles with tools and materials QUALIFICATIONS Valid MA or NH Driver's License, required Minimum of 1-3 years of field experience within a landscape maintenance environment is preferred. Training is available Massachusetts pesticide license, a plus Bilingual communication, a plus Someone who strives for continuous improvement A Commitment to professionalism and integrity Ability to follow written processes and systems Willingness to learn from experienced gardeners and be part of a team Ability to work as a team member Must be courteous and respectful of co-workers and clients Reliable, energetic, and motivated to work with a positive attitude Must be willing to work hard and efficiently to accomplish daily goals Willingness to perform all basic landscape tasks as required Highly detailed and takes pride in his/her work Strong verbal communication skills WORK CONDITIONS Must be able to lift and carry 80lbs of material Physical endurance and strength to work an 8 - to 10-hour day Willing to work in all weather conditions
