Overview: Shakes to Shingles, a New Hampshire-based weatherization company is seeking technicians to perform tasks including, but not limited to: ● Removing existing insulation from residential and commercial buildings ● Air-sealing building components ● Installing various types of insulation including blown-in insulation and spray foam ● Worksite cleanup Workday will start at our shop every morning where employees receive daily assignments. Employees are responsible for loading the trucks with necessary job materials and arrive at the job site within the designated time window. Job sites differ day to day and can include retrofits in customer’s primary residences, new construction, or commercial buildings. A customer-focused approach to every job is essential. Typically, our technicians work Monday-Friday. Some weekends may be required, as determined by the workload. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ● No degree required, education/experience in building/construction trades is a plus. ● Experience driving large trucks, a DOT medical card is required to drive our vehicles (can apply without one & will coordinate obtaining med card) ● Ability to read, write, and speak effectively ● Basic math skills required ● Ability to problem solve ● Team-oriented work approach, employees typically be working within a crew ● Professional, customer focused demeanor ● Excellent communication ability and time management skills This is a physical job. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required; use hands and fingers. Frequently, employees are required to crawl, stoop or fit in restricted spaces such as attics or crawl spaces. Employees are occasionally required to climb ladders or balance and must occasionally lift and/or move 50-100 pounds.
