NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Class AVGC Members there is no discount for this class as it is already greatly discounted. THIS CLASS TAKES PLACE OVER 2 DAYS.  YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS TO COMPLETE THE CLASS. June 10, 2021     6pm - 10pm June 12, 2021     8am - 3:00pm This course is taught by NRA Certified Instructors and includes classroom and range time. You will learn how to shoot shotguns at a moving target.  Students learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, shotgun parts and operation, shotgun shell components, malfunctions, shooting fundamentals, care and cleaning of your shotgun.  Students will receive the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting textbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules card, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet.  You will receive an NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting certificate at successful completion of this course.   Required Equipment:   Shotgun4 boxes of shotgun shells in 7.5 or 8 for your shotgun (No reloads)Eye & Ear ProtectionNotepad, Pen & PencilLoaner shotguns are available.  If If you would like to use a loaner shotgun or have further questions please contact theTrainingTeam: [email protected] You should pack a lunch for day 2. Snacks and sodas are available for .50 each. We provide bottled water free of charge. We do have a microwave available. Closed toe shoes are required. Please leave your shotgun and ammunition secured in your locked vehicle until instructed to retrieve them. NO AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM. THIS INCLUDES CCW & LEO. NO EXCEPTIONS. FYI - Following this class a Defensive Shotgun Class is available on 6/19/2021, 11AM - 5PM for $50.00. You must complete at least, the 1st evening of this NRA Shotgun shooting class to be eligible to participate in the Defensive Shotgun Class.
