Applied Solar Energy: Solar System Design and Installation Company 319 Forest Ave., Pacific Grove, CA 831-333-1919 Seeks Solar Installer for a specific project in the Carmel Valley area. This is a 3 to 6 month project for the installation of a floating array, 1100 plus panels, on a man-made pond in the Santa Lucia preserve area. The project involves the assembly of a floating platform, the mounting of panels on the floats, and the positioning of the panel platforms on a small pond. Work in a beautiful environment and get solar experience with the additional experience of setting up a large area on water; very unique multi-facetted experience in a natural setting. This project may lead to other similar projects in the area, and the position may lead to a full time position with Applied Solar Energy solar installer team. This Solar Installer position involves: Lakeside assembly of solar panel/float modules. Lifting and placement of the floating pontoons and solar panels. Wire interconnection. The positioning of floating module on water and the attachment of anchor lines or mooring lines. Also the placement and electrical hook up of associated inverters and electric boxes. Use of some power tools required. Following directions from the crew leader. Key Characteristics Wanted for the position: - Prompt and Punctual -Good communication skills -Team player -Willingness to learn and be trained -Ability to lift 50 lbs. -Driver’s license and reliable transportation required (Company trucks available) -Part-time.
