County Reports 430 New Cases Of COVID-19, 9 More Deaths

By Editor, Times of San Diego March 12, 2021 The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 430 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday and nine deaths from the disease. Eight men and one woman died – two were 80 years or older, three were in their 70s, three in their 60s and one in the 50s. Out of 16,204 test results reported to the county in the past day, 3% were positive, and the 14-day rolling average of positive tests stayed at 3.1%. Hospitalizations fell to 314, with 99 of the patients in intensive care. The county confirmed two new community outbreaks – one in a business setting and one in a grocery store – for a total of 13 in the last seven days linked to 54 cases.
