Description: We are looking for a self-motivated and hard working professional responsible for the landscape of 5 properties totaling in 20 acres in the Spring and Summer months. The job is 60% yard maintenance and 40% apartment turn-arounds/renovation. In the colder months we try to keep something inside to work on, so the percentages would reverse. We are currently renovating a historic building into apartments and some time will be spent indoors working on this project during winter months. This position is an opportunity to learn electrical, plumbing, HVAC and all facets of residential maintenance. The employee is expected to be on time and give advanced notice if they are absent.
Most Important Responsibilities:
Mowing using a commercial zero clearance mower
Weed eating
Spreading mulch
Pulling weeds
Drive a one ton dump truck (Manual)
Collect garbage and recycling
Meet freight trucks
Pick up supplies
Assist in refurbishing apartments
Paint prep and painting of apartment interior and exterior
Assist a staff licensed plumber and electrician with repair and installation for current projects/renovations
Snow Removal
Move heavy objects as requested
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Trade school and/or military training a plus.
Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment.
Valid driver's license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required.
Flexibility to take maintenance calls 1-2 weekends/month, compensation provided those weekends
Clear criminal record
Non-smoker
Ability to work independently
