Small concrete wall & wood fence help

My husband and his friend are quite handy. But, we would like help from an EXPERIENCED builder of retaining walls (both poured concrete & concrete block) and wood fences to help us make decisions and find resources.  We have a small budget. 1-2 hours to start.  More hours may be available in future.  $25 per hour. ** Ideally, you have photos of at least 3 walls and 3 fences you've built, over the last 3 years.  ** Relatively simple retaining wall will be about 3 to 3.5 feet tall, and it will be on two sides of our small-ish yard.  We hope to also build a wood fence with treated wood on top of the concrete wall, in a style that goes with our craftsman house. We need help with the following (might not be able to cover all of it in one mtg): 1) Learning the pros and cons of poured concrete vs. concrete block retaining walls. 2) Learning how to shore up poured concrete to avoid tipping and cracking in 5-10 years. 3) Learning tricks to doing the concrete and common pitfalls to avoid. 4) Least expensive way to remove and dispose of current wall made of broken up concrete pieces. 5) Learning about tricks to attach fence on top of concrete wall (poured or blocks), so that it doesn't tip or break for many, many years. 6) Best sources/stores for inexpensive materials/tools/etc:  concrete, lumber, fence material, hardware, pavers, stone, concrete disposal, concrete mixing, machines, scrap wood to build frames, etc. 7) Suggested order to which to do all the different steps of the wall, fence, etc. projects. 8) Estimates of how much materials may cost and how long project(s) might take? 9) Possible help making a bit of a plan for everything and rough drawing. 10) Optional:  Help with ideas for wall and fence design, and backyard landscape design. 11) Optional:  Some ideas re: designing/installing outdoor stairs, made of stone or concrete. 12) Etc.
