Flint River Fresh and the City of Albany Recreation and Parks invites the community for a fun day of planting seeds and seedlings at J.C. Odom, Jr. Fitness and Wellness Center and The Arc of Southwest Georgia community gardens. Volunteers are needed to help build and install raised garden beds and plant good, healthy food for the community.
Registered volunteers will meet-up with Farmer Fredo at the J.C. Odom, Jr. Fitness and Wellness Center, 1100 N Jordan Street, at 10:30 am. There will be a break at 12:00 pm. Planting Day with Flint River Fresh continues from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at The Arc of Southwest Georgia, formerly known as the Albany ARC, 2200 Stuart Ave.
