JOB DESCRIPTION: Cafe/Concessions Attendant, Sag Harbor Cinema Sag Harbor Cinema is seeking a passionate, professional, and positive individual to join our team. Sag Harbor Cinema is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding, maintaining and operating the historic Sag Harbor Cinema for the community. As the first point of contact for patrons of the cinema, the Cafe/Concessions Attendant is a vital part-time position embodying the mission and values of the organization, as well as being in charge of all day-to-day operations of the cafe and concessions stand. Ideal candidates will bring a passion for film, community, and exemplary service to the role. The Cafe/Concessions Attendant reports to the Cinema Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: Providing exceptional and knowledgeable customer serviceProcess all transactions in accordance with established procedures, including but not limited to handling all POS charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposits, and redeeming gift vouchers Operating and maintaining all cafe and concession stand equipmentStocking items such as food, drink, SWAG items, Gift cards, and other supplies Maintaining public spaces in a clean and inviting manner Other duties as requested by management Job Requirements/Skills: Broad and deep knowledge of computer-based POS systemsEffective oral communication skillsAbility to multitask and focusCompassion, sensitivity and poiseEffective organizational and problem-solving skills.A presentable physical appearance The ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 50lbs, and work days, nights, and weekends as neededKnowledge of and passion for world contemporary and historic cinema a big plus! Education/Experience: A High School diploma or equivalentCustomer service: 1 year (required)Sales: 1 year (required)Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)Cinema: 1 year (preferred) Salary: $15 per hour Hours: Full Time and Flexible shifts.
