This Zoom program will help explain the fundamentals of basic bird identification, particularly of birds here on Squam Lake! We will also discuss how the SLA works to provide habitats for birds with wood duck boxes (and hopefully more birdhouses in the future), along with how anyone can provide better habitats for birds on their own property, which will ultimately allow them to do more bird watching in the future!
Audience: All ages and experience levels are welcome!
What you need: Access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
This Week's LRCC Presenter:
I'm Daniel, and though I grew up in Indiana, I've lived in New Hampshire the past 5 years and am happy to call it my new home. Previously, I worked as a software engineer, but over time my passion for conservation led me to pursue an environmental science degree and volunteer throughout New Hampshire and Maine. If you meet me out hiking, snowboarding, or partaking in any number of watersports, feel free to say hi. I'm super excited to be serving with the SLA to help out with conservation efforts in the area!
