Celebrate Longmont's 150th birthday by touring City Parks by bike with City Parks Expert! The great Northwest. Exploring our parks in the city’s northwestern quadrant. Starting at Loomiller, we will head West and north exploring some parks in the northwest of Longmont, including Hover Acres, Dawson, Flanders and Garden Acres, and Carr utilizing bike lanes, low stress roads and some bike paths. Bring your cameras on this one for the scenery, the wildlife, the smiles and the friends you meet along the way! Mileage: 7-8. Rain/snow date: Monday, April 26, 9:15 AM. All tours guided by former City of Longmont Parks Project Manager and author Paula Fitzgerald and Traffic Safety Coordinator and former Art in Public Places Administrator lauren greenfield. If so, how do we do that? – up to you) • For all rides: Per County COVID restrictions: 12 participants, with waitlist. If you sign up for more than one tour and are a no-show, you will automatically be deleted from your next ride. May request a slot through my email, place permitting. • Participants will be provided with waivers on day of event. • Bicycles must be in good working condition. If in doubt, please take bike to a bicycle shop before the ride. • Safety checks will be done as a group. Please be prepared with spare tube (for your tire size) in case you have a flat (we can help, but will not provide a spare tube if one is needed). If your bicycle is deemed unsafe to ride, you will not be able to participate in the group ride (for everyone’s safety). • All participants will receive a bicycle map and will have opportunity get personal autograph if you bring your copy of “Longmont – Stories of our Parks” with you or provide it at the end. • Wear: comfortable, appropriate biking clothes, HELMET, MASK (required); preferred shoes without laces. • Bring: water, snack (if desired).
