Let's clean up Van Ness, Wakefield and Forest Hills for a #TrashFreeDC! This volunteer project is perfect for all ages! Van Ness Main Street presents, Spring NOW: Community Clean-up in Van Ness, Wakefield and Forest Hills, Saturday, March 20th from 10am - 1pm. This easy DIY community clean-up is perfect for all ages! VNMS will be stationed outside of our office at 4340 Connecticut Ave, giving out plastic bags for trash and paper bags for recycled materials. We'll have suggested routes along Connecticut Ave, from Van Ness Street to Nebraska Avenue, depending on the number of participants. We suggest wearing comfortable clothes and bringing gloves if you have them. All trash and recycled materials may be disposed of in the dumpster behind 4340 Connecticut Ave. The VNMS Community Clean-up takes place during Mayor Muriel Bowser’s city-wide Spring Cleanup on March 20th.
