Join Solar United Neighbors and Solarize Hamilton County to celebrate solar and launch the 2021 Hamilton County Solar Co-op! Join Solar United Neighbors and Solarize Hamilton County to celebrate solar and launch the 2021 Hamilton County Solar Co-op! Tours of the solar panels helping to save Sand Creek Elementary and Intermediary Schools $300,000 a year on their electric bills will be offered throughout the event and brief solar presentations will be offered at the top of each hour. Students are encouraged to participate in a Solar Oven Challenge, with judging beginning at noon. Scouts who successfully complete the challenge are eligible for a SUN Patch that will be awarded at the event. Find more details about the Solar Oven Challenge in this document. Guests are welcome to come anytime between 10am-1pm. The Solar cooker contest starts at 12 p.m. The Solar tours will operate continuously with solar talks at the top of each hour This outdoor event will follow all relevant COVID-19 precautions. Please maintain a safe distance from members of other households during the event. Masks will be required.
