The Brady Luke Band is recruiting for a lead guitarist. We are a professional, high-energy country band with both a modern and classic flair. On stage we have a lot of fun and believe that musicianship and showmanship are essential for putting on a great show and connecting with a crowd. The vast majority of our setlist consists of popular country cover songs, but our front man Brady is a singer/songwriter at heart and so we perform 2 - 4 of his original songs. We have shows booked for 2021 including a large festival, outdoor events, street dances, and some bar shows. We typically play 4 hour shows with breaks between sets every 45 minutes. We make competitive wages for the cover band scene but is considered hobby income. We have other day jobs and take off plenty of weekends for our personal lives. Here is what we're looking for in a lead guitarist: * talent and a quick learner is essential. We have some high profile shows booked later this Spring and Summer and so we need someone who can hit the ground running. *an appreciation for country music along with a willingness to learn the songs in our setlist. * stage experience and/or a good natural ability to perform in front of larger crowds. * You should own professional gear that sounds good and is reliable. * self-motivated to learn songs on your own. We use full band practices for rehearsals and for working out minor bugs, expecting that the each individual parts are learned beforehand. Realizing that band members might live in different necks of the woods, we want to have rehearsals less frequently but more efficient when we do get together. *willingness and ability to occasionally travel to our designated rehearsal location, especially at the beginning. This may include Stanley, WI, Eau Claire WI, or Wausau WI. *someone with a flexible schedule for playing weekends. With advance notice we can block dates but we expect to keep our existing commitments for 2021. If you have prior important commitments that conflict with dates already booked, we will certainly accommodate that for someone who's the right fit with us. *a team player who is friendly, easy for us to get along with, and leaves their ego at the door. *harmonizing and backing vocal ability strongly preferred.
