Mature, experienced musician (guitar/mandolin/Dobro) testing the waters looking for others for collaboration or band interest. Available as a sideman as well. Well-versed in many genres of music from Americana to Blues to Bluegrass to Alt. Country/Country Rock to light Jazz to R&B (think Muscle Shoals) to Swing. I play an acoustic guitar as it should be played. When playing electric I am old school and plug a Telecaster straight into a toneful low watt amp. Good improvisation skills. Not looking to play a large percentage of over-played copy songs; looking to play some music for the sake of creating good music in and of itself. Influences include Tony Rice, Brian Sutton, David Grier, Russ Barenberg, Mark O'Connor, Chris Thile, Adam Steffey, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Alison Brown, Sharon Gilchrist, Jerry Douglas, Tim O'Brien, Roy Buchanan, Danny Gatton, Duane Allman, Django Reinhardt, Pat Metheny and a multitude of others.
