You (F) were picking up a couple things at Whole Foods this afternoon around 4. Something in the cheese section, I think. I ended up behind you in line (“ended up”). You looked like maybe you just got off work. It’s hard to chat someone up when I’m trying to keep tabs on my kids too; maybe one day I’ll be better at it. Anyway, I never really see messenger bags these days. I was surprised and impressed you had one. You seemed cute. I should have at least attempted to say something... funny? Charming? Clever? Sheltering in place has really messed us up, hasn’t it? Here’s to the long lost art of missed connections; throwing an electric bottle into a virtual sea. I’m skeptical I’ll get the response I want, mostly I just want to get the idea of posting this out of my head. So, here we are.
