Sweet 2yr old Pit mix "Betsy" needs home

I'm a volunteer dog walker at the Wake County Animal Shelter and wanted to post about this wonderful young dog named "Betsy" that is currently there waiting on a family to adopt her. Betsy is almost 2 years old and is a beautiful and sweet girl. Betsy has been at the shelter for several weeks and I think is being overlooked because she's so quiet in her kennel. She quickly became a shelter favorite as she has great people manners and keeps her kennel very neat and clean. Betsy adores people and loves to go on long walks. She walks perfectly on a leash and would make an excellent walking partner. She bonds to people quickly, is very smart and takes treats very gently. Betsy has participated in supervised doggy playgroups at the shelter and has done very well with both male and female dogs. She is playful and likes being the center of attention in group play. NOTE, when paired with a submissive male dog, Betsy got even more energetic. We believe it would be best to pair her with an equally playful dog that can mirror her energy level. If you have room in your home and heart and are looking for a very special young dog, Betsy may be your girl. She would love to find a home of her own and leave the shelter soon.
