Description
Catalytic converter theft is on the rise. Engraving helps law enforcement recover stolen parts and catch thieves.
Century Sheriff's Station and the City of Lynwood are hosting their first Catalytic Converter Engraving Event to fight back against catalytic converter theft.
At this FREE event, residents of Lynwood can drive their car to the event site, where staff from Century Station and participating tow companies will engrave (etch) a unique identification number on your vehicle's catalytic converter, located underneath the car. This will assist law enforcement, should your vehicle's catalytic converter be stolen and later recovered.
Registration is required. On the day of the event, proof of Lynwood residency/vehicle registration is required. The registered owner of the vehicle is required to attend (must sign waiver). Social distancing and COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed. If you have questions, contact Century Station Community Relations (Lynwood) at (323) 568-4906.
