WESTPORT, CT — A box truck struck the train bridge on Saugatuck Avenue at Ferry Lane Friday afternoon, resulting in the temporary closure of the avenue, according to Westport police. No injuries were reported, but police are asking motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes. When the road will reopen was not disclosed.
