CENTRE COUNTY, PA — A 42-mile police chase through central Pennsylvania Tuesday evening helped officers find a vehicle stolen from Bowie, The Progress reported. The write-up noted that the chase led to the arrest of a Columbia man who tried to evade police on a highway near State College.
The Progress indicated that officers caught the suspect driving 104 mph through Centre County on eastbound Interstate 80. The driver refused to pull over and he sped up to 120 to 130 mph, the news outlet informed.
Officers eventually stopped the vehicle with spike strips, The Progress added. Police identified the accused man as 22-year-old Frederick Milven Walls Jr., the article concluded.
