Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder that affects 1 in 100 people and occurs when a person gets caught in a cycle of obsessions and compulsions. Obsessions are unwanted, intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that trigger intensely distressing feelings. Compulsions are behaviors an individual engages in to attempt to get rid of the obsessions and/or decrease his or her distress. We are currently recruiting participants for a clinical trial studying an investigational drug that targets glutamate, a chemical in the brain that is believed to contribute to OCD. An investigational medication would be added to your current treatment. • Do you think you may have OCD, or symptoms of OCD? • Are you between 18 & 65 years old? • Are you taking one of the following (Celexa, Lexapro, Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Anafranil, Effexor XR, Pristiq)? If you answered “yes” to all three questions above, you may be eligible to participate in this study. By joining this OCD Study, you may receive: - Study-related evaluations of your OCD-related symptoms and overall health; - Investigational drug and study-related care at no cost (you do not need insurance to participate); - Compensation for time and travel to attend study visits.
