Description
PROVIDENCE, RI — This week's coronavirus news conference will not be held at the usual time. Gov. Dan McKee and other state leaders will address the public at 11 a.m. Friday from Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence.
The weekly briefings, featuring Rhode Island Department of Health Director Nicole Alexander-Scott, Commerce Secretary Stefan Pryor and other state leaders, are usually held at 1 p.m. on Thursdays. The changed time is likely due to the governor's budget proposal briefing, which will be held Thursday afternoon.
The weekly coronavirus briefing is expected to return to its usual schedule next week.
