Description
Included: Tiko (the bearded dragon), 75 gallon tank, sand substrate (in the tank), 2 reptile carpets (when lined up, they cover the bottom of the tank as an alternative substrate), heat lamp with a hood and stand, reptile hammock, 2 props, food bowl, Flukers bearded dragon food, sand scoop, blanket (for him to chill in), bed (also for him to chill in), calcium with D3, and calcium without D3. Tiko is a male bearded dragon that’s about 3 years old. He is a big dude that measures 18 inches, with 12 of those inches being his tail. He is pretty chill, but definitely on the more active side for a bearded dragon. He has never bitten me and is an excellent eater. His tank is a 75 gallon (height- 20 inches, width- 18 inches, length- 48 inches) and has a removable screen top. He has sand substrate currently because it is easier to clean out his poop. I had him housed on reptile carpet before, but it was much easier for him to make a mess. He doesn’t have a water bowl because I have read that it will drive the humidity up too high, so he gets his water from food and the occasion spritz of a spray bottle. I do give him a water bowl when I go on vacation however, just to make sure he doesn’t get dehydrated. His tank is pretty new and doesn’t have any cracks in it. The heat lamp is about 2 years old and may need to be replaced soon, but as of now it seems to give off plenty of heat. He absolutely loves his hammock and is usually sitting in it. The other two props are more for decoration, but he does sit on the lower one. I take him out with the blanket, and he sometimes sits in the bed. You can just hold in with your bare hands, but his nails are quite long, so I prefer to have a barrier, so I don’t get cuts. He will try to escape from his blanket when I take him out, but he usually doesn’t get far before he decides to stop. He has never jumped out of his blanket while I was carrying him though. I feed him salad, mealworms, and the bearded dragon food mentioned above. I also like to give him Zilla Reptile Omnivore Mix when I go on vacation, which you can buy at most pet stores. Some people don’t agree with feeding your bearded dragon mealworms, but he’s on the leaner side, so I think it’s fine. He also really likes crickets, but I don’t feed him them that often. He has tried hornworms a few times, but since they are more expensive, I usually only feed them to him on special occasions. I spent $200 on the tank when I first bought it, and even more for everything else. I was hopeing to get Tiko rehomed for $200. Text or email me if you are interested. I can send more pictures if you need them.
