Description

I have a 6 year old, Blue Weimaraner female, that I'm looking to rehome. I've got a lot of back story on this dog, and if someone REALLY wants her, they'll read the ad to the very end. I bought Kenzi as a Christmas present to myself in 2015. She was born October 25, 2015. 3 days after bringing her home, she wasn't acting right. I took her to the vet and found out she had parvo, even though she'd received 2 sets of shots before I got her. After battling that, she made a full recovery, and proceeded to get all of the rest of her shots. So, she is fully vaccinated, except needing a current rabies. In 2018, she contracted Wild Distemper, which I only found out because I came home one night and she was having difficulty breathing, so I rushed her to an emergency vet hospital. Low and behold! She survived that too, with no lingering symptoms. After recouping from the Distemper, I got her fixed in 2019. Kenzi is a good dog. She knows her name, lays down, and gets up on the bed when told. She DOES however, have a high prey drive, which makes her attention span VERY short. She's a sweetheart, though. She LOVES giving kisses. I work 12 hours shifts at a jail, and she spends her time in a kennel when I'm not home. That isn't fair to her. If it was just 8 hour shifts, I wouldn't mind as much, but it isn't. She needs a home with a fenced yard that she has access to all the time. That way she'll get some excess energy out! She barks whenever anyone comes up to the door, whether we know them or not. NO ONE will sneak up on you with her in the house! She is SUPER friendly. Due to the many trips to the vet she's had, she's adjusted to all sorts of people poking and prodding her. She's great with other dogs, too! I would love to see her go to a home that has kids, cause she'd love them. All she wants to do is roam the house and/or sit on the couch with somebody while watching TV. I can, and will, deliver her to someone who really wants her. I'd like to see where she'll be living, and what she'll be living in. People lie, so often, nowadays, and I want her to get the BEST home for her. Whether it's a couple that wants their first dog to be an adult instead of a puppy, or a family wanting a family pet. I want to know she's in good hands, and will be taken care of. She deserves it! She is NOT free. That being said, her rehoming fee in negotiable. I want her in the best home for her, THAT'S my priority. If still interested, shoot me a TEXT. I live out in the country and my phone tends to drop calls, constantly. Thank you!
