Pride Martial Arts is the largest martial arts school in the Lincoln-Way area. Our school is looking for a motivated Martial Arts Instructor who can work in a team environment and bring excitement and energy to each and every class as well as implement the missions and the goals of Pride Martial Arts. This is a part-time hourly position with opportunities for advancement. Candidate must have prior martial art experience. All potential candidates must have a Black Belt and the ability to demonstrate skills. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Martial Arts Instructor Candidate will be instructing in our Kids martial art programs. Responsibilities: Teaching classes ages 3 to 14 years old. Assist in maintaining dojo cleanliness and organization. Meet daily and weekly instructing goals. Successfully study required curriculum videos and related material. Master the application of all instructional methods approved and required by the school. Guide students and prospective students through the various levels of required curriculum. Correctly demonstrate the techniques and teach them to students in a safe way. Keep students and prospective students motivated throughout their lessons. Create a desire for all students to attain Black Belt levels. Have a thorough understanding of criteria for student belt examinations; implement school requirements. Communication with students and their families. Coordinate with Owner and Program Director to qualify prospective students. Prepare, attend, and participate in staff meetings. Maintain complete knowledge of school history, philosophy, and policies. Requirements: Ability to perform and teach levels of curriculum up to and including Black Belt levels. Communicate clearly and be comfortable and confident teaching large groups. Maintain a high level of enthusiasm and positive reinforcement in the classroom. Possess an outgoing personality with the ability to inspire and have a strong desire to help others reach their goals.
