The Millwright Helper is the entry level position for the maintenance department. The chosen individual will help in all maintenance issues associated with the operation of the plant. They will help observe and practice preventative maintenance on all plant equipment. They will ideally possess the ability to cut, weld, fabricate using Arc, Mig and Oxy Acetylene, as well as have a basic knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and electrical equipment. They will assume responsibility for care and safe use of the tools and equipment that is supplied to them by the company. The Millwright Helper must be team oriented, as they will work closely with fully qualified Millwrights, Supervisors, Machine Operators and employees throughout the facility. They must have a good responsible attitude at all times. Must be production oriented and must work safely. Their work schedule may vary based on equipment failure and the need to make necessary repairs of equipment. They may be called upon to work longer shifts and week-ends as necessary.
