Press release from the City of Mission Viejo: March 10, 2021 The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is grateful to some local middle school students for organizing an animal supply donation drive for the homeless animals at the shelter. Megan and her classmates from the Ladera Ranch Middle School Peer Assistance Leadership (P.A.L.) class rallied folks by sending emails with our donation wish list and received a ton of donations from families at the school to help the homeless animals. P.A.L. donated cat and dog food, harnesses, leashes, bedding and many other pet supplies. In the past, P.A.L. has organized donation drives to help local communities. "This year Megan and her fellow classmates realized how hard this year has been during the pandemic and wanted to help out," said volunteer coordinator Giselle Leal. "They are big animal lovers and Megan recently adopted a dog from our shelter." The City and Animal Services Center thank the students and families at Ladera Ranch Middle School for their generosity in helping us continue to feed, house and provide loving care for our animals until forever homes are found. Other groups and individuals interested in supporting the shelter can visit cmvas.org or contact 949-470-3045. This press release was produced by the City of Mission Viejo.
